Nederlandse Loterij appoints new chief financial and risk officer

Ageeth Bakker is joining the Executive Board of Nederlandse Loterij as Chief Financial & Risk Officer (CFRO).
Effective November 1, 2026, she will complete the executive leadership team of the Netherlands’ largest gaming organization, which also includes Arjan Blok (CEO), Maartje Geven (CTIO), and Arno de Jong (CCO).
Since 2019, Ageeth Bakker has served as CFRO and a member of the Executive Board at Bovemij Group. Earlier this week, she stepped down from this financial institution serving the mobility sector—which specializes in insurance, warranties, and data services. Prior to that, Bakker was Chair/Managing Director of Onderlinge Waarborggroep Centramed.
She also spent 13 years at Achmea Group, six of which were in various executive roles, including Director of Finance, Risk, and Chain Management at Centraal Beheer and Finance Director at Avéro Achmea.
Raymond Knops, Chair of the Supervisory Board of Nederlandse Loterij: “The Supervisory Board is pleased to welcome a highly experienced executive like Ageeth Bakker as CFRO of Nederlandse Loterij. Her extensive expertise in finance and risk, combined with a career in regulated sectors, makes her an excellent fit for this executive role. With Ageeth Bakker’s arrival, the executive team is at full strength to further realize Nederlandse Loterij’s strategic ambitions as the most responsible gaming operator and the leading driver of sports and physical activity.”
Ageeth Bakker: “What particularly appeals to me about Nederlandse Loterij is the combination of a strong social mission and a leading position in the gaming sector. Through ten trusted brands, Nederlandse Loterij offers players a safe and responsible range of lotteries and online games, with proceeds benefiting society. I am eager to contribute to this. I look forward to working with the executive team and all my colleagues to continue building a successful, future-proof organization, enabling us to further increase our social impact.”
