Norsk Tipping reaches settlement with 17,000 players
Approximately 17,000 Norwegians in the class action lawsuit filed against Norsk Tipping will now be participants in a completely separate million-dollar draw. No one else will have the opportunity to participate in the draw.
Last year 17,000 Norwegians were wrongly told they had won millions Friday draw.
The participants will also not pay anything to take part in the draw. The draw will take place in the “near future”, but the specific time has not been set, the law firm SANDS informs the participants in the class action suite.
“Each participant will now receive a ticket that is worth (economic value) at least as much as the probability of winning that any person lost due to the error,”.
“The size of individual prizes has not been clarified, but the total prize amount is NOK 3 million for the national additional draw in Eurojackpot and NOK 1 million for the Super Draw in Lotto,” SANDS informs.
