New Jersey gambling revenue hits $600 million in August
The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement announced the August 2026 total gaming revenue results.
Online gaming win for the casinos and their partners was $259.3 million for August 2026, reflecting growth of 4.4% when compared to $248.4 million reported for August 2025.
Year-to-date online gaming win was $2.13 billion through August 2026, reflecting growth of 13.2% when compared to $1.88 billion for the prior year-to-date period.
Sports Wagering Gross Revenue for the casinos, racetracks, and their partners was $61.4 million for August 2026, reflecting a decrease of 25.0% when compared to $81.9 million reported for August 2025.
The decline for the month primarily reflects a later start to the fall sports calendar for certain sports compared to August 2025, including college football, as well as a lower overall win percentage. Year-to-date Sports Wagering Gross Revenue was $671.4 million through August 2026, reflecting a decrease of 5.3% when compared to $708.7 million reported for the prior year-to-date period.
Total gaming revenue for casinos, racetracks, and their partners was $615.7 million for August 2026, reflecting a decrease of 4.1% when compared to $642.2 million reported for August 2025. Year-to-date Total Gaming Revenue was $4.81 billion through August 2026, reflecting 5.4% growth when compared to $4.57 billion reported for the prior year-to-date period. Total Gross Revenue Taxes were $81.5 million for August 2026 and $674.2 million for year-to-date through August 2026
