Indiana bettors wagered $367.5 million in August 2026, up 2% from a year earlier and 35.3% above August 2025, a record for a month that normally marks the low point of the betting calendar.

The reason sits in two lines of the state’s sport breakdown. Parlays took $170.4 million and the catch-all “Other” category, where Indiana files soccer, took $121.6 million.

Between them, 72.4% of every dollar wagered in the state rode on those two categories, up from 60% a month earlier. Figures come from the Indiana Gaming Commission.

Indiana does not break out soccer as its own line. It bundles the sport into “Other” alongside hockey, tennis, and golf, which makes the category’s June behavior the clearest signal available. “Other” took $121.6 million, or 30.2% of the month’s handle, against a year-to-date average of 21.0%. In May, before the tournament, it sat at 27.0%.
