DraftKings co-founder Matt Kalish launches HardScope

HardScope, founded by Matt Kalish, is a media company with an in-house studio built around creator-led IP. The brand is launching its YouTube channel on Sept. 30 with a slate of digital series.

Built for a generation that grew up on the internet, HardScope’s slate spans different topics, formats, and creators that collectively make up the interests of modern youth culture.

The company’s channel goes live Wednesday, September 30 on YouTube with a first slate built in partnership with four creators at the top of their platforms.

HardScope is built to take creator-led IP beyond the platform where it begins. Each original franchise is developed with the potential to expand through commerce, brand partnerships, live experiences, licensing, and distribution beyond HardScope’s own channels. Creators participate as equity partners in the IP they help build, giving both HardScope and its partnered talent a stake in the businesses that can grow around successful programming. The goal is to build original franchises that start as shows, earn an audience, and have the infrastructure to become something larger.

“We’re here to bring ambitious projects to life,” said Matt Kalish, Founder and CEO of HardScope. “We believe that working hand-in-hand with creators as business partners is how the future of media and IP will be made, grown, and scaled.”
