The New York State Gaming Commission published the names of the companies that have applied for permits to run online sports betting platforms and sportsbooks in the state. 

Applications have been filed by Bet365, FanDuel Sportsbook, BallyBet, BetMGM and DraftKings /FoxBET. theScore now owned by Penn National Gaming It’s unseen how Penn National Gaming’s recent acquisition of theScore will effect the two bid applications that include both companies.

Each bid package will be awarded points by the New York Gaming Commission and must include at least two proposed platform operators to be the front end of the state’s online sports betting program. State officials are still hopeful New York online sports betting takes its first bets later this year and will have the product running at full capacity by the 2022 Super Bowl.
