Internet Vikings launches in Massachusetts
Global hosting provider Internet Vikings is fully ready to service all sizes of companies within the online sports betting sector in Massachusetts as it adds yet another U.S. state to its operations list.
“I consider Massachusetts to be a significant step in our U.S. expansion.” Rickard Vikström, Founder and CEO of Internet Vikings. “The state’s local authorities passed the law allowing sports betting just over three months ago, and it is already attracting a lot of attention from many B2C operators and B2B suppliers. It is important that we are ready to support our clients when sports betting fully launches there.”
On August 1, 2022, the Massachusetts legislature passed an Act regulating Sports Wagering, which will create a framework for legalized sports betting within the state. Overseen by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission, the Act will permit both in-person and online betting through already-licensed brick-and-mortar casinos, slots parlor, as well as online platforms. However, the actual betting activities are expected to be launched only in early 2023.
Internet Vikings is by no means new to the U.S. market. The award winning supplier began its journey in the U.S. in 2020. Today, its services are available in most of the states where iGaming and online sports betting are regulated, with multiple partnerships secured in all of them.
“While our launch in the state of Massachusetts is indeed an achievement, we are not planning to stop here.” Internet Vikings’ Chief Operating Officer Kristoffer Ottosson added. “As the U.S. market experiences further active development, it is becoming increasingly essential that we progress hand in hand with it.”
Rickard Vikström supported his statement by saying, “Providing high quality hosting services to all industry-related enterprizes as they expand into or within the United States is of paramount priority to Internet Vikings at this present moment. Therefore, it is vital to us to ensure that we are a part of our clients’ journey to success when the next U.S. state legalizes online wagering on its territory.”
