Athletico Paranaense suspended its sponsorship contract with Esportes da Sorte. The team made the decision due to concerns about the regularity of the bookmaker’s operations in Brazil.

Esportes da Sorte was left out of the Ministry of Finance’s list of companies in the sector that will be able to operate after October 11th.

The announcement was made on the club’s official website on Wednesday. The club requested the immediate interruption of the display of the company’s brand on its shirts.

The decision was a response to the growing debate about the legality and regulation of sports betting in the country.
