Arizona Gaming approves sportsbook license

The Arizona Department of Gaming (Department) has announced that it has allocated an event wagering operator license to Circa Sports Arizona LLC, designee for the San Juan Southern Paiute Tribe.

As previously announced, the Department opened an application window for event wagering licenses
between June 26 and July 10, 2026, which included no less than one event wagering license reserved for
Arizona Tribes and no less than one event wagering license reserved for Arizona Sports Franchises.

The Department proceeded to evaluate applications in accordance with the established criteria set forth in the State’s event wagering rules and statutes. The 2021 enabling legislation allows for a maximum of 20 event wagering operator licenses, with ten reserved for Arizona Tribes and ten reserved for Arizona Sports Franchises.

Effective July 27, 2026 the Department has allocated an event wagering license to Circa Sports
Arizona LLC, designee for San Juan Southern Paiute Tribe. With the allocation, the operator will be
approved to offer sports betting and event wagering in Arizona.

The Department will work with thelicensee on next steps for the operational launch. Since the inception of legal sports betting and event wagering in Arizona in 2021, people have wagered $35.3 billion, generating approximately $190.6 million in event wagering privilege fees for the state.
