Vermont reports $3.4 million in online sports wagers
Vermont sportsbooks processed $3.4 million in wagers during July 2026, producing $2,640,060 in gross gaming revenue at a 12.07% hold. The state collected $836,413 in tax revenue from sports betting activity.
Vermont operates one of the smaller sportsbook markets in the United States, but wagering activity has remained stable since the state launched legal online sports betting in 2024.
Total wagers increased slightly with the World Cup compared with July 2025, rising by about $336,000 year-over-year. However, sportsbook revenue improved more significantly due to the higher hold percentage.
Vermont operates a statewide online sports betting model, where licensed sportsbook platforms offer mobile betting across the state.
