XLMedia appoints Jonas Martensson to its Board as Non-Executive Director

Digital performance marketer XLMedia PLC on Thursday said it has appointed Jonas Martensson as a non-executive director of the company, effective immediately.

Martensson is currently the chief executive officer of Swedish video game developer Mojang AB, developer of Minecraft, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2014.

XLMedia said Martensson has “substantial” board level experience in a number of important verticals for the company.

Previously, he founded betting operator Mobilbet.com and was head of mobile at Betsson.

Non-Executive Chairman Chris Bell said: “We are delighted to welcome Jonas to the board of XLMedia as he brings a wealth of experience in both capital markets, technology and product development and the gaming sector. We look forward to leveraging his substantial expertise as we continue to expand our market presence and further capitalise on our significant growth momentum.”
