Sportech, the international betting technology business, is pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas Hearne to the Board of Directors as Chief Financial Officer, with effect from 14 May 2018.

Tom has extensive prior experience in CFO and Director roles with public companies, international firms, and start-ups in sports-related digital media and technology, most recently as CFO for theScore, Inc., a digital media spin-off from Score Media, Inc. Tom, who qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Canada also holds an MBA.

Commenting on the appointment, Andrew Gaughan, CEO said, “We are pleased to have secured Tom’s talent to the Group. His experience in the fields of digital technology and sports media, and his long track record of driving growth, increasing profitability, and executing successful M&A transactions, perfectly aligns with our commitment to deliver transparent financial reporting and tangible growth for our shareholders.”

Aligning with the shift in senior management from the UK to North America, Tom will be based in the Group’s Toronto office alongside Group CEO Andrew Gaughan.
