Lotteriinspektionen appoints anti-match fixing coordinator

A new match-fixing coordinator, Katarina Abrahamsson, will take part in the Lottery Inspectorate – which changes after the turn of the year to Spelinspektionen – October 15th.

The appointment takes place in the light of the current reorganization of the Swedish gaming market.”Katarina has extensive experience from previous coordination of issues between authorities, organizations, but also from working both nationally and internationally with regulation and coordination issues,” writes Lotteri Inspectorate Patrik Gustavsson in a press release.

The new game regulation will give the Lottery Inspectorate a central role in the fight against match fixing.

Among other things, they will lead a fight against match fixing, which also consists of representatives of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Government Offices and the police.
