Paola Zekkou has joined William Hill as the Director of Technology Strategy & Planning. She started on 8 October, and is based in London.

Paola joins William Hill from EE (BT Group) where she worked from 2011, most recently as the Director of Technology, Business Engagement & Roadmap and EE Chief Information Officer. Having previously worked in her native Greece in various international roles, always in strategic planning and transformation; and has worked in heavily regulated sectors like banking.

She’s not always worked in Technology though, she’s got an impressive history as a professional basketball player back in Greece, but tells us she also enjoys tennis and especially Wimbledon.  Clearly our sporting know how helped attract her to this role.

She’s a mentor for Step into STEM programme and has been a Digital Champion for Age UK. While at EE she was part of the Women’s Network for three years and also supported the BT TechWomen initiative.
