888, one of the world’s leading online gaming and entertainment solutions providers, is delighted to announce the appointment of Andrew Anthony as its new Responsible Gaming Director.

Andrew will lead the Company’s highly experienced Responsible Gaming team and have oversight of the continuous improvement of 888’s responsible gaming operations, systems and processes to further enhance customer protection. Andrew will report into Yaniv Schwartz, 888’s Senior Vice President and Head of Customer Risk Management.

On a daily basis, 888’s specialist Responsible Gaming team work with 888’s in-house player behavior monitoring tool, Observer, which sits at the heart of the Group’s responsible gaming strategy. The system flags unusual or concerning activity to the team who decide the most appropriate interaction with the customer that will help them make informed decisions about their gambling and, where appropriate, select the right tools to control, limit or prevent their play.

Collaboration with industry stakeholder groups, including regulators, will also be a fundamental part of Andrew’s day to day work. By working together with other operators 888 is committed to further developing safe gambling initiatives and improving industry standards.

Andrew has spent more than 15 years at 888 holding various roles within the finance team, including heading up the Finance Compliance and Applications Unit.
