Wyoming sports wagers up 8% in April to $17.1 million

Since launching its online-only sports betting market in September 2021, Wyoming has seen steady, year-over-year growth across handle, gross gaming revenue (GGR), and tax contributions.

The entry of major operators, including BetMGM, DraftKings, FanDuel,and Fanatics Sportsbook, has expanded betting options for residents and fueled market expansion.

Wyoming sportsbooks processed  $17.1 million in wagers during April 2026, up 8%, generating $14,821,141 in gross gaming revenue at a 9.28% hold. The state collected $1,337,927 in tax revenue.

Online betting accounted for the majority of activity, producing $203.45 million in wagers, while retail sportsbooks handled $10.19 million.

The results reflect a stable market where wagering volume remains consistent while revenue performance fluctuates depending on sportsbook margin.
